Through her ancestral lineage, Deanna Jenne is an initiated marakame (shaman) in the Huichol tradition and a granicera (weatherworker) in the Nahua tradition of Mexico. She is a Firekeeper for her community in Western Colorado. She brings experience and wisdom to men and women by providing guidance and ritual leadership to circles around the globe. In addition to co-facilitating the Lifeways Women’s Retreat, she is the Ritual Leader for Sacred Emergence, Lifeways’ initiation into womanhood, the Director of the Blue Deer Seminary of the Temple of Sacred Fire Healing, and she facilitates women’s fire circles. With her husband, she is building an intentional residential community called the Mesa Life Project in Colorado. Deanna’s work can be found at www.growing-corn.com.
